Visiting family and blogs do not go together!

This is what I come home too...

Where does the time go? I've had my old man visiting me, Country Bloke and kiddos for the past 9 days and I kept telling myself that I was going to publish a blog entry! Well, midnight sure crept up on me A LOT faster than normal. The days were so busy but we got our garden in and managed to see some pretty amazing sights here on the East Coast.

Arlington Cemetery

Arlington Cemetery:

Tomb of the Unknown Solider

Beautiful Flowers at Arlington Cemetery

12,000 Gettysburg Reenactors

Over 400 horses!

150th Battle of Gettysburg Reenactment on July 4th:

150th Gettysburg Reenactment

It was a very patriotic 4th of July! Country Bloke had never seen anything like this before and he was astounded at how very real everything seemed. Australia doesn't have any re-enactments of any battles they have fought in. It really was amazing to see history come alive. This is an interesting article on reenactors:

Space vehicles and airplanes

So that's what I've been up to! Country Bloke will be contributing some amusing tales very soon and we have lots more to come on the garden very soon. We've made lots of progress with our Back to Eden Garden and I can't wait to share!
